Telecom Towers Africa will be based on a sustainable efficient model (Lean and Mean) and will provide full turnkey solutions to the MNO’s – TowerCo + ESCO (if required).

TowerCo Services

Aquisition

Through analysis and due diligence, existing infrastructure is procured from either independent tower owners or MNO’s.  We then upgrade where required to ensure the towers become multi tenant ready.

Colo

Once towers are ready for multi tenant service offering, we then lease antenna and radio equipment space to a variety of mobile network operators and ISP service providers under long-term lease contracts.  Generating revenue by adding additional tenancies.

B2S

In build-to-suit situations, Telecom Towers Africa builds towers for service providers at locations that they have identified.  We retain ownership of the tower and the exclusive right to collocate additional tenants on the tower. We lease the antenna and radio equipment space under long-term lease contracts.

Telecom Towers Africa will not only provide Telco’s access to high-rise infrastructure but will provide a complete solution to its customers . The value proposition offered by Telecom Towers Africa to its customers includes the following:

  • Access to high-rise structures to install radio antennas.
  •   Telecom Towers Africa will provide its customers with either an indoor or outdoor facility on its sites. (Shelter for Indoor equipment AC equipment or plinths for Outdoor DC equipment)
  • For the Indoor type, a single BTS Room “the BTS Hotel” will be provided for all customers thus driving down the capex cost in deploying separate containers, on separate plinths etc.
    • Single air conditioning system thus driving down capex and opex per site.
    • Each customer will have access it its own BTS cage accessible through electronic controlled access keys providing audit trail.

Access to the BTS Hotel will be through electronic controlled access key.

  • The Telecom Towers Africa sites will be built to three standards, based on the level of risk associated with the area and the need to fortify the site, with Fort3 being the highest standard of physical security.
    • Fort1 – Standard site build (Palisade Fencing, Plinths for MNO, Access locks, RMS, PIR, Standard DC cabinet should we supply Power as a Service (PaaS)
    • Fort2 – Standard site build (Clear-Vu Fencing, Plinths for MNO, Access locks, RMS, PIR, Concrete hardened DC cabinet Power as a Service (PaaS)
    • Fort3 – Hardened site build (Perimeter wall, Concrete Multi Shelter, Access locks, RMS, PIR, CCTV with DC solution in shelter)
  • Should the risk profile of the site change, Telecom Towers Africa will engage its customers to update them on the investment to harden the site that the proposed changes in rental for the sites. If the customers accept the proposal Telecom Towers Africa will make the necessary investment.
